Privacy Policy - Apps

Privacy Policy

Byron System Developer built the following applications:

Not every application uses every feature, service, or type of information described below. The information relevant to a particular app depends on its features, the platform, and the services enabled in that version of the app.

By using our applications, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

Depending on the app, information such as preferences, theme settings, language selection, progress, plans, test answers, test results, and assessment history may be stored locally on your device.

Local information is normally removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Some apps may also provide controls inside the app to delete specific locally stored information.

2. Educational Self-Assessment Apps

Brain Balance, Mental Health, and Trauma Emocional Test are educational self-assessment apps. They do not provide medical diagnoses, treatments, or professional medical advice, and they do not replace an assessment or guidance from a qualified healthcare professional.

In the current versions of these apps, assessment answers, results, plans, preferences, and assessment history are stored locally on the user's device. These assessment answers and results are not intentionally sent to F.R. Cuidados de Saúde, LDA, used to personalise advertising, or shared with AdMob.

You can remove locally stored information through the privacy and data controls available in the relevant app, by clearing the app's data, or by uninstalling the app.

These apps may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand general app usage, improve stability, and diagnose technical errors. We do not intentionally include assessment answers, assessment results, names, email addresses, or other direct identifiers in analytics events or crash reports.

These apps may display advertising through Google AdMob and use Google's User Messaging Platform to manage advertising consent where required. On iOS, an app may request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing the advertising identifier for advertising-related purposes, where applicable.

3. Information Collected and How It Is Used

Depending on the app and the features you use, limited information may be processed, including:

  • App interactions, screens viewed, session information, and feature usage;
  • App version, device model, operating system version, language, general device information, and approximate region derived from IP address;
  • Advertising interactions, advertising identifier, consent status, and privacy choices;
  • Technical diagnostics, crashes, errors, stack traces, and performance information;
  • Test answers and results, only where an app feature requires online storage, comparison, or synchronisation;
  • An anonymous account identifier, nickname, saved progress, or results in apps that provide online profiles, leaderboards, comparisons, or similar online features.

We use this information to provide app functionality, understand feature usage, improve performance and stability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, manage consent, display advertising, and produce aggregated or anonymised statistics where applicable.

We do not sell personal information. We do not intentionally include names, email addresses, direct identifiers, or test answers in analytics events or crash reports. However, information that a user voluntarily enters into an online feature may be stored where that feature requires it.

4. Firebase Services

Some applications use Google Firebase services. Depending on the app, these services may include:

  • Firebase Analytics: to collect app usage and interaction information and help us understand how an app is used;
  • Firebase Crashlytics: to collect crash reports and technical diagnostics, which may include device model, operating system, app version, timestamps, stack traces, installation-related identifiers, and app state relevant to an error;
  • Firebase Authentication: to create an anonymous account identifier where an online feature needs to associate data with the correct installation or user without requiring an email address;
  • Cloud Firestore: to store information required by online features, such as a chosen nickname, anonymous account identifier, app identifier, timestamps, progress, or results.

Firebase information is processed by Google according to its own terms and privacy practices. For more information, see the Firebase Privacy and Security page and the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising, Consent, and App Tracking Transparency

Some applications use Google AdMob to display advertising and support development and maintenance. AdMob and its advertising partners may process information such as the device advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, ad interactions, diagnostic information, and consent status.

Where required by law, including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage advertising consent. Depending on your choice, your location, and ad availability, AdMob may display personalised or non-personalised advertising.

Where available, you can review or change your advertising privacy choices through the app's Privacy options.

On iOS, an app may ask for permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before accessing the device advertising identifier for tracking-related advertising purposes. You can change this permission later in your device settings.

For more information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Advertising Policies.

6. Third-Party Services

Depending on the app, platform, and enabled features, our applications may use third-party services including:

These providers may process information under their own privacy policies and may operate infrastructure outside your country of residence.

7. Google Play Games and Google API Access

Our game Territory may integrate with Google Play Games Services to provide leaderboards, player statistics, progress, and achievements.

Information accessed

If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, the app may access a player ID, nickname, and profile image, if available.

Use and deletion

This information is used only for the relevant Play Games features. We do not sell Google user data. Information processed directly by Google Play Games remains subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.

You can manage Play Games information through your Google account. You may also request deletion of information controlled by us by contacting byronsystemdeveloper@gmail.com. If an app does not use Google sign-in, no Google account data is accessed by that app.

8. Legal Bases for Processing

Where European data protection law applies, we process information on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • to provide the app and its requested features;
  • with your consent, where consent is required, including advertising consent where applicable;
  • for our legitimate interests in maintaining app security, preventing abuse, understanding app performance, diagnosing errors, and improving our apps, provided those interests do not override your rights;
  • to comply with legal obligations.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, analyse, and improve the apps, or to comply with legal obligations. Retention periods for information processed by third-party providers are governed by those providers' policies and settings.

You may request access to or deletion of information controlled by F.R. Cuidados de Saúde, LDA by emailing byronsystemdeveloper@gmail.com. Please identify the relevant app and, where applicable, the nickname or other information needed to locate the relevant record.

Removing an app or clearing its data normally removes locally stored information, but does not necessarily delete information already processed or stored by an online service. Contact us if you wish to request deletion of information controlled by us.

10. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures and the security controls provided by our service providers to protect information. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure.

11. Links to Other Sites

Our apps may contain links to external websites, app stores, support pages, or reference material. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external services.

12. Children's Privacy

Our applications are not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in the user's country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

13. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning your information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent.

You may also:

  • change advertising privacy choices through the app when that option is available;
  • limit or reset the advertising identifier through your device settings;
  • change App Tracking Transparency permission through iOS settings, where applicable;
  • disable app permissions through your device settings;
  • uninstall the app or clear locally stored app data;
  • contact us to request deletion of online information controlled by F.R. Cuidados de Saúde, LDA.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
